Ryan equipment has transitioned to a Bobcat branded version and is now available for purchase on shop.bobcat.com and at Bobcat dealerships. Parts for both Ryan and Bobcat equipment are available here.

Ren-O-Thin® Power Rake with Flail Blades, 554871 is designed specifically for dethatching. Featuring simple height adjustment that lets you fine-tune your dethatching depth from 1″ above or 7⁄8″ below ground. It’s the most productive, hassle-free way to improve lawns and boost your profitability.

FLAIL BLADES
The Ren-O-Thin Flail Blades consist of free swinging blades mounted to a reel, designed for power raking, breaking up thatch, and breaking up aerating cores. Not recommended for fine lawns for golf course greens.

KEY FEATURES

  • Ergonomic, multi-position handle -- for different operator heights and storage
  • Off-the-ground transort mode -- keeps tines off the ground when moving from job to job
  • Bubble shield -- prevents thatch from building up under the deck
  • Honda Engine

Dethatching is the  process of removing the layer of dead and decaying grass, roots, and debris matted between the sold and growing grass. A thatch layer of 1/2 inch or more prevents air, light and water from reaching the turf’s root zone.

You should dethatch in early fall before you fertilize, or in the spring after the grass has begun to green.

2-Year Warranty

California Shipping Note

This Product Can’t be shipped to California TEST.

In December 2021, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved a regulatory revision requiring most small off-road engines (SORE) sold in California on or after January 1, 2024 to be zero-emission. CARB classifies small off-road engines as spark-ignition engines which are 25 horsepower or less.

This covers many of our turf products such as zero turn mowers, sod cutters, aerators, and dethatchers. Product manufactured under the Ryan Turf brand is exempt from this regulation due to the manufacture date, but because we are transitioning branding from RT to Bobcat, any newly produced units will be subject to these regulations.
