Cool Climate Hydraulic/Hydrostatic Fluid 2.5 Gallon, 7486188 is blue in color with a lower viscosity for best performance in machines operated primarily in cooler-climate regions.
Bobcat introduces two new hydraulic oils with two different viscosities (one for cooler climates, and one for warmer climates) that stand up better to extreme temperatures and severe operations, enhancing protection by reducing wear and tear on hydraulic systems, as well as providing greater operator uptime.
Using cool or warm hydraulic oil depends on the climate region the machine is operated in most often (view map).
Bobcat R-Series compact loaders feature advanced hydraulic systems that require the correct hydraulic oil, depending on whether these loaders are operated in cool or warm climate regions. All R Series loaders (S62, S64, S66, S76, S86, T62, T64, T66, T76, T86) will leave the factory filled with the new hydraulic oil required for the region in which they are shipped.
Bobcat recommends that you use the viscosity best suited for your geographical area. Maximized results will come from using the Bobcat recommended hydraulic oil based on your region.
Machine damage caused by the use of incorrect hydraulic fluid may not be covered by warranty. Starting the engine when the temperature of the hydraulic fluid is less than -29 degrees C (-20 degrees F) will result in significant damage to the hydraulic system and components.
If you work in Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, or Ohio, please review the temperature chart and choose the hydraulic oil that best meets the temperature range in which you most often work.
Your machine may have been shipped from the factory with hydraulic fluid optimized for the original shipping destination. When new, factory hydraulic fluid appears either blue or red in color. If your machine is moved to another region, you may be required to change the hydraulic fluid. Follow the Replacing Hydraulic Fluid instructions in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
