The 18 Inch Ryan Jr. Sod Cutter, B& S Engine, 544952J neatly and efficiently removes 18 inch wide sections of grass. From lifting sod for relocation/repositioning to expanding and/or establishing shrub and flower beds, sod cutters deliver the precise cut you need. They are especially useful when removing grass for walkways, patios, playground areas, irrigation and dog fencing.
To help lawns recover from winter, the Jr. Sod Cutter is ideal for removing damaged turf. With its user-friendly controls and swiveling rear wheel, the Jr. Sod Cutter makes it easy to remove large swaths of sod or cut closely along contoured landscape edges. Once the damaged turf is removed, new sod can be installed and watered as necessary. Sod is an instant, weed-free answer to the question of how to repair a damaged lawn.
Easy depth adjustment helps efficiently select a cutting depth. Responsive handling gives a true cut with unmatched stability and maneuverability. A cast-iron gear case and traction drive wheels ensure responsive cutting in all conditions while also reducing maintenance.Â

In December 2021, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved a regulatory revision requiring most small off-road engines (SORE) sold in California on or after January 1, 2024 to be zero-emission. CARB classifies small off-road engines as spark-ignition engines which are 25 horsepower or less.
This covers many of our turf products such as zero turn mowers, sod cutters, aerators, and dethatchers. Product manufactured under the Ryan Turf brand is exempt from this regulation due to the manufacture date, but because we are transitioning branding from RT to Bobcat, any newly produced units will be subject to these regulations.

How to Use ‘Saved Equipment’
Without signing in, you can save one machine by clicking ‘Add Equipment’ at the top of the page. Once you create an account or sign in, you can save and edit multiple models and serial numbers by clicking ‘Add Equipment’. Click on any of your saved machines and click ‘Apply’ to see the compatible products for your serial number.
